Tube trailer

Jump to: navigation, search

Tube trailers are used to store high-pressure cylinders. Typical products stored in tube trailers are hydrogen, helium and high-purity oxygen. All tube trailers are built to comply with the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) with regard to hazardous material safety, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Tube trailers generally come in three forms: modular (9-5/8" OD, 3A and 3AA tubes), intermediate (14" to 18" OD, 3AA tubes) and superjumbo (22" OD, 3AAX, 3T, DOT UN, and ISO 11120 tubes).[1]
