Test pit

A test pit is preferred for larger jackets and cylinders in hydrostatic testing. Test jackets can be recessed into the ground so that the operator can access the top of the jacket for ease of use. Also, the test pit allows for testing in facilities with limited ceiling height. See attached link for suggested test pit lay outs.[1]
