Tension test

From GAWDAwiki

Jump to: navigation, search

A tension test is a test in which a specimen is broken by applying an increasing load to the two ends. During the test, the elastic properties and the ultimate tensile strength of the material are determined. After rupture, the broken specimen may be measured for elongation and reduction of area.[1]
