Roll welding is a solid state welding process that creates coalescence of metals by heating and applying pressure with rolls sufficient to cause deformation at the faying surfaces. The process is similar to forge welding.[1]

Roll-welding, also called Roll Bonding, is a process that joins together a stack of sheets or plates that is fed through a cold rolling mill under sufficient pressure to produce significant deformation and solid state welding.[2]
