The Research & Special Programs Administration (RSPA), a division of the U.S. Department of Transportation, is responsible for a variety of safety and regulatory programs. The Office of Pipeline Safety is responsible for regulating the safe transportation of 1.5 million miles of interstate & intrastate natural gas pipelines.
