Pressure relief device

A pressure relief device is an important safety device on a boiler or pressure vessel. It prevents an overpressure condition from occurring within the boiler or pressure vessel, resulting in dangerous explosions. Pressure relief devices protect pressurized equipment from exceeding maximum allowable working pressure.[1]
