In a non-woven abrasive, the grain is embedded throughout the entire abrasive product. A three-dimensional, open structure is achieved by needling nylon filaments, which form a web. Abrasive grains, primarily aluminum oxide or silicon carbide, are then bonded throughout the web.[1]
