Hydrostatic Test Head
From GAWDAwiki
A hydrostatic test head is the component of a hydrostatic testing system that seals a cylinder inside of a test jacket. There are two different types of test heads. One model is for use of cylinders that contained hydrocarbons and the other is for non-hydrocarbon cylinders to prevent cross contamination.
Cross contamination is a serious concern as if an oxygen cylinder were to be contaminated with hydrocarbons; it could potentially set off a domino effect of explosions at a cylinder filling facility.[1]
