The GAWDAwiki Gases and Welding Wiki is intended to provide a comprehensive, reliable information-sharing community for the gases and welding industry.
Content
All content posted on the wiki should be:
Notable
- A term or concept is deemed “notable” if it can or could be found in secondary, reliable sources.
- The goal of the wiki is to expose, organize and compile knowledge that is already established and recognized, NOT to present new information or original research (i.e. an individual’s theory, personal belief, etc.)
Verifiable
- Wikis should present information that is verifiable. Readers themselves are responsible for checking the truthfulness of what appears on the page.
- All information must be provable by an external, third-party source.
Neutral
- All content should present a neutral point of view representing fairly, and as far as possible without bias, all significant views that have been published by reliable sources.
Referenced
- Sources should be referenced when adding material that is challenged or likely to be challenged.
- References should allow readers to find the source and verify that it supports the material in the wiki.
- Individuals can cite themselves as a source if they have expert knowledge on a particular subject.
