Dimethylformamide (DMF) is primarily used as an industrial solvent. Dimethylformamide solutions are used to process polymer fibers, films and surface coatings; to permit easy spinning of acrylic fibers; to produce wire enamels and as a crystallization medium in the pharmaceutical industry.[1]
