Cylinder blasting

Cylinder blasting is a process used to clean the external and internal surfaces of cylinders. For the purpose of recertifying - a visual inspection following shot blasting of the external surface reveals arc burns and other indication of cylinder failure. Internal blasting is the most efficient means of removing corrosion and other contaminants. Cylinders are usually inverted during the process to allow gravity to draw the contaminants downward.^[1][2][3]
