Cryogenic bulk tank
From GAWDAwiki
Cryogenic bulk tanks are highly insulated tanks designed for the storage of large amounts of cryogenic materials. They may be installed either vertically or horizontally, but vertical installations are more common because this configuration requires less space and presents less wetted area, reducing vaporization. Horizontal tanks are slightly smaller and lighter. All tanks are regulated by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).[1]
The inner lining of cryogenic bulk tanks are frequently stainless steel, and they are vacuum insulated.[2]
Pre-owned cryogenic bulk tanks can been fully rehabbed and restored to like new condition and many of the tanks that were built in the 1960's are still operating well.[3]
