Convection
From GAWDAwiki
Convection is a method of heat transfer in which energy moves between liquids or gases with different temperatures. This transfer is accomplished with a combination of diffusion and bulk motion of molecules.
Convection may be either natural or forced. In forced convection, fluid flow is initiated by an external force like a pump or an agitator. Natural convection is the result of density differences between fluids of different temperatures, meaning molecules move from a more populated area to a less populated area.
Other methods of heat transfer include conduction and radiation.[1]
