Constant voltage welding machine
From GAWDAwiki
“Potential” and “voltage” are basically the same in meaning. The output of a constant voltage or constant potential welding machine is relatively stable, with consistent voltage regardless of amperage output. It results in a relatively flat volt-amp curve as opposed to the drooping volt-amp curve of a typical SMAW (Stick) welding machine. [1]
