Arc

Arc is the physical gap between the end of the electrode and the base metal in arc welding. The physical gap causes heat due to resistance of current flow and arc rays. ^[1]

• Gas metal arc welding
• Flux cored arc welding
• Gas tungsten arc welding
• Submerged arc welding
