Adaptor

An adaptor is a conversion unit that allows mating of one brand or style of a manufacturer's product to another brand of equipment. Such adaptors are usually used to mate one brand of welding torch (GMAW, gun and cable) to a different brand of wire feeder. Likewise, an adaptor or adaptors may be used to standardize installation of other devices such as bulk electrode conduits of various manufacturers.[1]
