Taylor-Wharton Announces Price Adjustments

- 4/25/2012

Taylor-Wharton Cryogenics, LLC announced a price increase for its industrial cryogenic equipment effective May 15, 2012. Taylor-Wharton products subject to the price adjustment are atmospheric bulk tanks, VJ CO2 tanks, portable liquid cylinders, beverage carbonation cylinders and micro bulk storage vessels.

Taylor-Wharton’s published base pricing for industrial cryogenic gas containment products had not increased over the past five years. The reason for the current base price increase is increased cost of product elements, including raw material, component pricing, energy, freight, labor and benefit costs. The price increase will be approximately 3% to 5% depending on the product model.  Surcharge schedules, as in the past, will be published monthly as necessitated by Taylor-Wharton’s steel suppliers.

“Taylor-Wharton continues an aggressive pursuit of increased efficiencies in all aspects of our operations, including special emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, inventory control, productivity, innovation and talent management,” said Len York, President of Taylor-Wharton Cryogenics. “Taylor-Wharton will continue to strive to improve our cost reduction programs and cost control mechanisms in order to meet the demands and requirements of our customers and provide them with the best possible product value,” York said.
