Women In Welding

- 5/6/2009

Statistics show an increase in women working in the welding field. In 2000, 5.8% of welders were women. In 2007, 7% were women, which is a 19% increase in total numbers. AWS is working on a lot of different projects to promote welding to women and young people, which you can read about at www.aws.org. Without question, we encourage women to consider welding as a profession.
