Bellingham Technical College's Welding Technolog Program is hosting the 11th Annual Welding Rodeo, which begins Friday, May 18, and continues on Saturday, May 19. The welding sculpture competition showcases amateur teams of high school and college students on the first day, with profiessional welders showing off their skills on Saturday. The theme of this year's contest is "Into the Garden."

The event is free and open to the public, and will feature industry vendor booths, forged items, public welding opportunities and a view of welding and art in action.
