Schaer Named CU President

Billings, MT - Computers Unlimited, a leading software provider, has appointed David Schaer as company president. Computers Unlimited (CU) was founded in 1978 by Schaer’s father, Michael Schaer, with its roots in cylinder and inventory management software for the industrial welding supply and home medical equipment industries.

After graduating from Boston College, where he studied finance, operations and strategic management, David Schaer went to work for a major Japanese bank in New York. He later joined AWISCO, a New York-based welding and gases distributor as a purchasing agent. Schaer joined Computers Unlimited in 1995, where he has held positions in sales and new technology development management.

Customer service is Schaer’s top priority. “We have to take care of the customer,” he says. “They are the center of everything we do. The technology is almost secondary.”
