Davenport, Iowa-based S.J. Smith Co., Inc. announced that in conjunction with the company’s succession Management Plan and effective November 1, 2010, the following changes will go into effect: Richelle Smith-Brecht will become president and chief operating officer; Timm Evans will become executive vice president; John Hanlon will be vice chairman; and Richard Smith will remain chairman of the board and chief executive officer. The company has been very active in preparing for the transition of the company to the third generation of family ownership and management.
