Praxair Changes Support Network - 7/10/2009
Danbury, CT – Praxair Inc., a global, Fortune 300 company that supplies atmospheric, process and specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services and technologies, announced to key Praxair distributors on July 1 that it is dismantling its national distributor support network and replacing it with a regional-based sales structure.
Of the nine-person department headed by Vice President David Marek, five positions will be eliminated and four will remain to support the new regional sales structure.
Praxair Inc., based in Danbury, Connecticut, has been a GAWDA member since 1956. Its subsidiary, Praxair Distribution Inc., has been a member since 1988.
Sales for Praxair in 2008 totaled $10.8 billion.
