A study published in Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery says that the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy results in a 35 percent decrease in post-operative bruising among plastic surgery patients.

“Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy works to increase oxygen to facial tissue and stimulate the growth of new blood vessels, which in turn, contributes to a faster recovery,” says Dr. Andrew Jacono, facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, who completed the study.
