- 6/26/2012

In an effort to better serve members of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA), Welding & Gases Today Online is doubling its output of online-exclusive content with a now weekly On The Edge feature. This active online publication schedule enhances the offerings at WeldingAndGasesToday.org to the gases and welding industry.

Welding & Gases Today, the leading magazine for the gases and welding equipment industry, has been serving GAWDA since 2002. In 2010, with the launch of its new website, Welding & Gases Today introduced “On The Edge” as a bi-weekly feature. These online-exclusive articles break down current events and hot topics in the gases and welding industry and share different views from distributors, suppliers and end-users.

With the move to publish On The Edge articles on a weekly basis, industry members can keep tabs on the issues that are affecting their business as they emerge. Recent articles look at topics such as the helium shortage, helium pricing, the embezzlement of a Colorado distributor and FMCSA’s controversial tank vehicle definition.

On The Edge articles are available on the home page of WeldingAndGasesToday.org under the heading “On The Edge.” Readers can explore the complete archive containing almost two years of On The Edge articles by clicking on the words “On The Edge.” Among the articles included in the archives is a look at the controversial issue of large business fulfilling government contracts reserved for small businesses. Another article looks at the debate as to whether the sales territory model or market segmentation is better suited for the gases and welding industry.

Weekly On The Edge article advance the mission of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association, providing analysis on current issues and disseminating relevant information to the membership. This information helps member companies to better their customers, employees and society.
