Oilind Safety Rebrands

- 5/7/2012

Airgas, Inc. announced that Oilind Safety, Inc. has changed its name to Airgas On-Site Safety Services, Inc. Airgas acquired Oilind Safety, which provides safety equipment rentals and safety management services, in 2008 and it has been one of Airgas' fastest growing businesses over the past two years with 18 branches in the Mid Western and Western U.S.

"We are very proud of the Oilind Safety brand and its heritage of more than 40 years of protecting workers," said Rusty Coker, President - Airgas On-Site Safety Services, Inc. "However, we have found that many customers were unaware of our affiliation with Airgas, Inc. and therefore didn't realize the scope of services available to them."

Airgas On-Site Safety Services is an Airgas company focused entirely on serving the on-site safety equipment and safety management service needs of customers. With stand-alone branches and service centers on location at customer sites, Airgas On-Site Safety Services provides breathing air equipment, monitors, fall protection, safety training and inspections, as well as safety equipment maintenance and repair. The resources of the Airgas family of companies include more than 15,000 employees and approximately 1,100 locations across the U.S., including distribution and walk-in branches, cylinder fill plants, air separation units, specialty gas laboratories, and hardgoods distribution centers.

"With our portfolio of safety equipment and services and the access we can provide to bulk and cylinder gases, welding and cutting equipment and supplies, and tools, it is our desire that Airgas On-Site Safety Services will quickly become the brand of choice in the energy exploration and drilling markets, as well as the refining and petrochemical industries we serve," Coker added.

Oilind customers are reminded to continue to place orders for products and services by contacting the same Oilind Safety location and the same Oilind Safety representatives used today.
