Metro Welding Supply/Cryogenic Gases Undergoes Renovation

- 5/4/2010

Metro Welding Supply/Cryogenic Gases has announced the expansion and renovation of its Specialty Gas Lab in Detroit, Michigan.  The lab recently underwent a total make-over to include more efficient and accurate filling and analytical capabilities.

“It’s a niche market for us,” said Metro Sales Representative John P. Stoneback. “We have found that our margins are very good in the specialty gas market and our business has been growing in that direction. We wanted to give it a little kick start.”

The upgrades will allow Metro Welding Supply/Cryogenic Gases to continue offering the shortest lead times available on specialty gas orders while maintaining its stringent quality standards as it pursues its ISO 17025 certification.

Stoneback says the expansion will have a sizable impact on the company’s business. “It’s going to make us more efficient inside and allow us to continue to have a quality product even though we’re producing more.”
