Magazine Website Launches

- 9/16/2010

In what is the culmination of months of work behind the scenes, Welding & Gases Today now has a new online home. The URL remains the same (www.WeldingAndGasesToday.org), but the site itself has undergone a complete transformation. The new WGT site represents the evolution of business-to-business magazine technology. It is a flexible, interactive community that allows for real-time news posting and reader interaction. The new format allow the WGT editorial staff to post articles and stories as they come in. No longer do members have to wait until the end of the month or even quarter to find out about the latest industry trends and best practices. Now there is instant access to these valuable stories.

In addition to being updated with new articles and news stories several times a week, social media is fully integrated into the site. The Editors’ blogs are on the site, with the most recent entries featured on the homepage. A live Twitter feed show visitors everything that’s being said about the association and its publications. A comment section is included with each article, with the most recent postings being highlighted on the homepage. There are icons that allow visitors to easily share site content with e-mail contacts and social media followers. It’s all part of the site’s effort to be a vehicle for participation instead of merely the consumption of information.

Stop by today and be the first to comment on an article, and see your name and company listed on the homepage. Then, be sure to return several times a week to stay updated on your industry and the issues that will impact the way it does business.

See the new site at WeldingAndGasesToday.org.
