LinkedIn Group For Corporate Insurance Issues

- 4/30/2009
A new group has been formed on the business networking site LinkedIn to provide relevant insurance information to corporations, including chief financial officers, risk managers, in-house attorneys and outside counsel representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters. This group will allow members to share non-privileged information relating to risk management, insurance coverage and insurance issues. Insurers, insurance brokers and insurer defense counsel may not join.

“I hope that GAWDA members that fall in these categories join this new group, which should be a valuable asset to all of us interested in maximizing insurance protection for corporate policyholders,” says Katherine Henry, partner, Dickstein Shapiro LLP and founder of the LinkedIn group.

This will be what finally gets me to join LinkedIn. Fume litigation isn't going away, and any time we can network and share best practices in important areas such as this, it's a good thing.

I see this as a good source of ongoing education for a variety of areas like coverage issues, risk management, Workers’ Compensation claims, property management and auto insurance, all of which affect distributors' businesses.
