Linde Hydrogen Plant Starts Up - 2/5/2010
Linde North America began startup of its new hydrogen plant Thursday on the southwest corner of the Citgo refinery.
Through mid-March, the new plant will undergo a series of startup tests to prepare for full-time operation later this year.
As part of the process, a portion of the hydrogen produced at the plant must be flared—sent to a large stack and burned.
