Liberty Gives Gas to Grassroots Project - 1/27/2011
Liberty Industrial Gases & Welding Supply, of Brooklyn, NY, donated helium to support a grassroots mapping project for students in the urban studies program at The New School in New York, NY. The helium, which was used to fill a homemade balloon, will help students capture imagery of the Gowanus Canal to develop a map and track seasonal changes. The Gowanus Canal Conservancy believes the project will help its efforts to petition the necessary landscaping to clean the soil and provide shelter for animals.
