High Plains Welding Supply changed its name to High Plains Gas & Supply LLC to reflect the vision of its new owners. Shannon Lind, president, Steve Unrein, vice president and Gene Neugebauer, secretary, purchased the 25-year-old company from former owner James Chaffee after working at the business for 2 years during a planned transition period. “We have a lot of goals, and right now we are growth-oriented. We plan to grow the company by bringing an increased focus on gas,” says Unrein, adding, “We’re all gas guys.” The new owners of High Plains Gas & Supply have more than 75 years of combined industry experience.
