The Bureau of Land Management will raise prices for crude helium in its yearly open market sale based on revised methodology for calculating the price. Federal crude helium will be sold at $75.00 per thousand cubic feet in fiscal year 2011 as compared to $64.75 in 2010.  “Our goal is to get a fair price for a scarce government resource,” says Leslie Theiss, manager of the bureau’s Amarillo field office.
