HeadlinesHS, College Offer Joint Welding Program- 5/26/2009High School Teacher Duane Hart says the classes initially were offered only to high school students, but the program grew after area farmers showed interest in night classes. It started with a limited amount of equipment, and the class size grew. With help from residents and support from the School Board and the Southwest Rural Economic Area Partnership, more equipment was purchased and the facility was expanded. Now the facility offers 27 welding stations. About 125 welders have gone through the program to find jobs. Read the full story at pddnet.com.
