Gas-Filled Seat Belt Wins Award

Ford Motor Company received a 2011 Edison Award, earning top honors in the category for best new product in applied technology. The “gold” designation was received for a gas-filled rear seat belt, which looks to improve safety during a crash. Ford received the award at the 2011 Edison Awards Gala in New York.
