James Farrell, retired chairman of Illinois Tool Works, was one of seven individuals selected to receive The Order of Lincoln, the state of Illinois’ highest award. The honor, named after President Lincoln, recognizes service and a dedication to community. Farrell is chairman of The Civic Committee, vice chairman of The Commercial Club and a member of Chicago’s Economic Club.
