The United Way of Peel Region has awarded ESAB Canada, Mississauga, ON, Canada, with its Outstanding Joint Union-Management Campaign Spirit Award.

ESAB accepted the award for a workplace campaign run jointly with union members from the United Steelworkers, Local 9042 and management in the private sector.

Through prize draws, potlucks, popcorn sales and a silent auction, the highlight of the campaign, ESAB Canada increased its United Way donations by 3.5 per cent over 2008.
