According to the U.K.’s Takeover Panel, ESAB parent company Charter International is required to show suitor Melrose any financial information it shared with the anonymous bidder that entered the race for Charter earlier this week with a reported $2.5 billion offer. Melrose was previously given a September 6 “put up or shut up” deadline from the Takeover Panel, but has since asked for an extension.
