NASA announced a mission to test the storage and transfer of cryogenic propellants such as liquid oxygen. A satellite will store cryogenic propellants and transfer the fuel from one spacecraft to another, piloting technology that will enable future missions to travel farther than ever with the ability to refuel in space. The 200-day mission is part of NASA’s Flagship Technology Demonstration, and will test the ability to build in-space refueling depots.
