Chart Relocates Oxygen Operations

- 7/21/2010

Chart Industries Inc., will relocate its CAIRE liquid oxygen therapy manufacturing operations in Plainfield, IN, to closer to the company’s operations in Canton, GA. The new facility will be part of the Cherokee Office of Economic Development’s Airport Commerce Center. Chart Industries acquired the Indiana operations in November when it purchased Covidien’s liquid oxygen therapy business.

Chart will invest $5 million to construct a 66,482 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, and will add a minimum of 50 new jobs at the Georgia location. The company will provide assistance in finding new employment for the 130 workers affected by the closing of the Indiana operations.
