Cee Kay Establishes Memorial Scholarship

- 1/16/2012

Cee Kay Supply (St. Louis, MO) presented a check in the amount of $8,000 toward The Hil Bax Annual Memorial Scholarship. Founded by the AWS St. Louis section, the scholarship will be given annually to a student who represents the desire to further his or her career in the science of welding and welding technology. The scholarship will be awarded later this year during the AWS St. Louis section student night meeting. This past October, Hilary “Hil” Bax, former sales manager at Cee Kay, passed away at the age of 72. Bax had worked for Cee Kay for over 46 years and helped shape the welding industry and community in St. Louis. His contributions to the AWS during his time as the chairman of the St. Louis section and director of District 14 prompted the St. Louis section and various other donors to initiate the scholarship through the AWS Miami Headquarters.

Cee Kay Supply is a first class organization, as evidenced by the Hil Bax Scholarship and their many other community-centered activities. As a fellow St. Louis based business, Ace Industrial is proud of our hometown friends and the positive work they do to promote our industry.
