Airgas recently visited the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate 25 years of being listed on the Exchange. Chairman and CEO Peter McCausland was joined by a group of Airgas employees including drivers, fillers, branch managers, financial managers and HR personnel at the NYSE podium to ring the Closing Bell. According to Airgas’s investor website, the company’s stock has delivered a compound annual return of 18% to its shareholders since its initial public offering in December 1986, outperforming 97% of the S&P 500 constituents during that time.
