Air Products Gets Votes - 9/15/2010
At Airgas’ September 15 annual meeting, company shareholders voted for Air Products’ three board of directors nominees, removing Airgas CEO Peter McCausland and two fellow incumbents from the nine-member board.
A majority of voters also elected in favor of Air Products’ by-law proposal to move the 2011 annual meeting up to January. Air Products is expected to nominate three additional board members to run for election at that meeting.
Airgas holds firm that the by-law did not garner enough votes to pass under Delaware law, saying that the by-law requires 67 percent approval to pass.
