ABCO Welding & Industrial Supply (Waterford, CT) held its Customer Appreciation Day at the company’s South Windsor, CT, location. More than 15 vendors set up tents at the event. Along with product demos, customers were treated free hamburgers and hot dogs.

The yearly event provides a boost to the store’s daily sales. “We run product specials throughout the day,” says Jay Stemmler, marketing manager at ABCO. “We typically sell as much as $20,000 of additional product in a single day.”

ABCO’s main goal, Stemmler iterates, is to show its appreciation. “We do it to thank our customers for their loyalty. It gives them a chance to meet with our vendors and try out new products.”
