Steel refers to a large family of various metals. All steels are alloys which combine carbon and various other elements with iron.
Types of Steel
There are three types of steel:

|---|---|
| Mild steel | Up to 0.25% |
| Medium carbon steel | 0.25%-0.45% |
| High carbon steel | 0.45%-1.50% |
