A manifold is a header with outlets or branches to which a number of cylinders of gas may be connected.[1]

A gas manifold provides a continuous supply from two separate banks of cylinders. Manifolds allow users to deplete gas from one source without the concern of gas outage and prevents the wasting of unused gas as a result of premature change outs.[2]
