Compressed natural gas

From GAWDAwiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Compressed natural gas (CNG) is natural gas that has been condensed under high pressures, typically between 2,000 and 3,600 pounds per square inch, for use as a fuel.[1] CNG is stored in metal cylinders prior to use. CNG is considered safer than other types of fuel such as propane (LPG) because it is lighter than air and may rise into the sky in the event of a leak.[2]
