Anti-spatter agent

From GAWDAwiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Anti-spatter agents protect weld pieces, tables, jigs and fixtures[1] from spatter buildup. After the agent (typically a liquid or paste) is applied to a surface, a barrier is formed that prevents spatter from sticking, making it easy to remove after welding is complete.[2] Other desirable features of an anti-spatter chemical include, ease of removal of residue(s), non-contamination of the weld seam, non-toxic formula, no complications of secondary processes such as priming, painting or galvanizing, and the ability to perform well on both steel and stainless steel materials.[1]
