American Welding Society

The American Welding Society (AWS) was founded in 1919 as a multifaceted, nonprofit organization. The mission of the American Welding Society is to advance the science, technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.[1]
Committees
The American Welding Society has seven committees:
- AWS Technical Committee
- Welding Equipment Manufacturers Committee (WEMCO)
- Brazing and Soldering Manufacturers Committee (BSMC)
- International Institute of Welding (IW)
- Pan American Coalition of Welding Institutes (PACWI)
- Pacific Ocean Coalition of Welding Associations (POCWA)
- Resistance Welding Manufacturing Alliance (RWMA)
